Former Liverpool star Didi
Hamann admits it's "painful" to
see his old club struggle.
Hamann is currently turning out
for MK Dons.
"Every time I go back it feels like
going home," he told the
Guardian. "It will always be my
favourite club and the club
where I feel I belong.
"It has been really painful. The
new stadium hasn't been built
and all the things the owners
have promised they haven't
produced. It's just a really bad
time for the fans because the
team has struggled over the last
15 months and it felt like the
owners didn't have any interest
in the club bar financial interests.
"But hopefully with this new
owner he's saying all the right
things, so fingers crossed."
