Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has dismissed claims that Fernando Torres has lost his way at Liverpool.
The Black Cats are at Anfield today.
"Torres is a wonderful player," said Bruce. "He's had an injury - even top, top players can have two or three back to back and struggle getting back.
"It will take time. But make no mistake, he has real quality. Look at last season against us; he took two or three minutes to curl one in the top corner.
"In people like Torres, Gerrard and Joe Cole, Liverpool have players who can hurt you and beat you. We have to be aware of that and ready for that challenge."
