Match Preview: Everton vs Liverpool
Football is back and there is no doubt that we missed it. Liverpool visit Goodison Park for the Merseyside derby. Fernando Torres will be back to help Liverpool get their first away win of the season in this Merseyside Derby. Before all that, heartiest congratulations to all Liverpool fans who can finally be relieved of sending mails to various banks and protesting against ex-owners Gillette and Hicks. Let us get back to football now. Sunday 's Merseyside derby is the perfect moment for Liverpool to find their form again and start winning. With the ownership issue solved, players have to now just deliver without any excuse. There are just two things that matter now: 1) Roy Hodgson's tactics 2) The form of the players. Liverpool have lacked success in both things so far this season. But, with Torres set to return after injury and probably in a better state of mind like all other players, this is their chance to beat Everton. Liverpool, I hope, do not miss the services of injured Dirk Kuyt and Daniel Agger who are out of the clash. Everton, on the other hand, will be without Pienaar, Jagielka and Fellaini. Even then Liverpool cannot afford to relax as arch nemesis Tim Cahill is playing and his daunting moves are going to give a lot of headache to Konchesky and Poulsen. Control him and Liverpool have the game. Both Liverpool and Everton are wounded this season and now find themselves at the wrong end of the table. Liverpool scored a double over Everton last season and have won last three games at Goodison Park. My predictions are for an outright Liverpool win. Not saying so because I am a Liverpool correspondent & fan but because I do not see any reason for players to play bad. They are happy, no worries now and the ultimate atmosphere surrounding the derby is definitely gonna spur them on. Go Reds Go!!! The Red Legions prediction: 2-1 to Liverpool. YNWA
