Reports today are claiming that Roy Hodgson could be set to swoop for Fulham’s Zoltan Gera.
The midfielder’s future is not certain at Fulham with just a year to run on his contract and new boss Mark Hughes yet to make his intentions clear.
No talks have yet taken place over a new contract for the 31 year old and Hodgson could step in with a bid to take his former player to Anfield.
Sunderland and Werder Bremen are said to be closely monitoring his situation also, but a switch to Anfield could prove the key to any move for the player.
