Raul Meireles has revealed that
he is going to commemorate
his Liverpool debut with a new
tattoo.
The Portugal international, 27,
made a 14-minute cameo
during the goalless draw at St
Andrews on Sunday and has
now pledged to add to his
increasing collection of body art
- with a collection of 31 tattoos
and piercings to date.
Meireles joined Liverpool last
month from FC Porto, where he
won four league titles and three
Portuguese Cups, and is hoping
that his latest addition will
become a good luck charm as
he aims to justify the
£10.7million paid by Roy
Hodgson for his services.
''I've always had a tattoo
done after a new success and it
has become a bit of mania," he
admitted.
"I was 18 when I had my first
one on my arm and I want
another one for Liverpool and
hope it will bring me luck.''
