Liverpool fullback Glen Johnson hopes England fans do not boo the players against Hungary this week.
Johnson has warned that England's friendly against Hungary on Wednesday could be a wasted exercise if fans boo the team at Wembley.
He said: "If they boo us for 90 minutes, what are we going to get out of that? What is that going to help?
"It's not like everyone went to the World Cup and didn't try out there. The players were more disappointed than the fans. 'In my eyes, the fans should forget about it like we have. Obviously we're all disappointed but it's done, it's happened, and we will all go forward together.
"Of course it's been difficult to get over because it's every kid's dream to play in a World Cup, do well and try to get to the final. But we were far from it and a long way off the pace.
"It was not easy to forget but think the sooner you do try to forget it, the easier it will make it for everyone. We will try to go out and entertain the fans and win, like we do in every game."
