Insua Deal May Be Cancelled

The Italian side had reached an agreement with Liverpool for the sale of the left-back over a week back,with only personal terms left to agree.Argentine defender Emiliano Insua has failed to agree personal terms with Fiorentina, according to sources in Italy.
Insua continued to train at Melwood while his agent negotiated with Fiorentina, who finished 11th in the Serie A last season.
However, Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino has now revealed that they are finding it hard to match Insua’s wages at Liverpool.
“We have already reached an agreement with Liverpool but we are yet to reach an agreement with Insua’s agent on his wages,” he is quoted as saying.
“We cannot guarantee him the wages that he is currently getting at Liverpool.”
Negotiations are still ongoing between Insua’s representatives and Fiorentina – with a move looking more and more unlikely after Insua is believed to have asked for wages in excess of £40,000/week.
