Liverpool-NESV Deal Completed
Finally, after days of legal wranglings, John W Henry and his NESV Group have completed the takeover of Liverpool Football Club. Tom Hicks has spent the last four days trying all he can to prevent NESV from completing the takeover, initially challenging the Liverpool board's legal agreement to sell the club at the High Court on Tuesday, then issuing a temorary restraining order through the Dallas court on Thursday. Finally the Texan gave up his attempt to block the sale and lifted the TRO, instead choosing to pursue a $1.6billion claim for damages. But that didn't scare off Henry, who has now completed the sale and becomes the new owner of Liverpool Football Club. Here's to a bright future.
