Teenage centre-back Daniel Ayala is heading to Valladolid on a season long loan with a view to agreeing a permanent move.
The Spaniard has just under two years remaining on his contract. Though has not ruled out signing a new Anfield deal a move to the Segunda Division outfit will be considered next summer at the latest.
Rafael Benitez's departure is unconnected to the development but with Ayala too good to continue a meaningful development in the reserves and plenty of competition for a place in the first team chances at Anfield are likely to remain limited.
"Right now I am waiting to see what my future is because I don't know what will happen now Benitez has left. I am happy at Liverpool but I would be very excited to play in Spain," he said.
Ayala made five senior outings last term season including two starts.
Since joining the club from Sevilla in September 2007 his steady rise has seen many tip Ayala to make it all the way.
