Israeli Superkid Altman Handed Trials At Anfield
Israeli teenager Omri Altman has joined Liverpool on trial in the hope of impressing manager Roy Hodgson. The 16-year-old attacking midfielder is with Maccabi Tel Aviv and hopes to follow in the footsteps of compatriots Avi Cohen, Ronny Rosenthal, Eyal Berkovic and Yossi Benayoun after impressing Liverpool scouts. Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has handed a trial to Israeli teenager Omri Altman Altman also plays for the Israel U17s side, who are coached by former Watford midfielder Alon Hazan and has a decent goalscoring record. Hazan said: 'It doesn't surprise me in the slightest that he has been invited to a club like Liverpool. He has all the elements you look for in a player at the highest levels. He is not like a 16 year old kid. '
