Llorente To Replace Torres At Anfield
Liverpool are preparing a January bid for Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente in January as they seek to add some much needed firepower to their goal-shy attack. Fernando Torres has scored just once in eight games for the Reds this season in all competitions and with Dirk Kuyt ruled out through injury manager Roy Hodgson is lacking a cutting edge. Llorente was on Liverpool's wanted list over the summer though a fee was never agreed with Bilbao. Hodgson is keen to revive negotiations but doubts remain over whether he will succeed in getting his man. The 25-year-old's stock has risen considerably since then having scored four goals in his last three games for Spain and his displays have reportedly caught the attention of Real Madrid.
