Liverpool Legend Gillespie Calls On Hodgson To Stay
FORMER Liverpool defender Gary Gillespie believes Roy Hodgson is still the right man to lead the club. The Anfield boss has endured a torrid start to his Anfield reign with the Reds taking just six points from their opening seven Premier league games. Patience among supporters is in short supply with many Kopites calling for Kenny Dalglish to be installed as manager. However, Gillespie insists it 's too early to judge Hodgson. "I don't think Roy realised what he was coming in to when he took over the role and he's probably finding it a lot bigger than even he expected, " he said. "It's easy to make changes and criticise people but you have to give Roy a little bit more time. "I think he's only had seven games, so I'm not going to blame the manager but it's a tricky situation that Liverpool find themselves in, where things are not going well off the pitch and they are definitely not going well on the pitch."
