Liverpool are reportedly set to renew their interest in West Ham star Scott Parker.
According to the Daily Mirror, Roy Hodgson has been monitoring the 30-year-old for some time and is preparing a fresh bid for his services after having an offer rebuffed earlier this summer.
The report suggests that any move would be subject to Javier Mascherano being granted the transfer away from Anfield he craves.
Both Inter Milan and Barcelona have shown an interest in the midfielder, but Hodgson will only let him leave if the price is right.
The Argentina captain is valued at around £25 million, and the Liverpool boss would be required to spend a large part of that fee if wants to recruit Parker.
West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has made it clear that he has absolutely no intention of selling the east Londoner's talisman, and has offered the ex-Chelsea midfielder a new bumper-deal to secure his Upton Park future.
But the Daily Mirror proceed to report that Parker is stalling on his new deal, and his Champions League aspirations could see him move to Merseyside.
