According to Italian reports, Reds boss Roy Hodgson is keen on the Nigerian striker, and he had even been touted in a proposed swap deal for Liverpool midfielder Dirk Kuyt .
Kuyt appears to be off Inter's radar for now after Hodgson said Inter chief Massimo Moratti had assured him he would not bid for any Liverpool players.
23-year-old Obinna has also been linked with a move to Fiorentina.
