Hodgson Eyes Salcido To Replace Insua

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has targeted PSV Eindhoven defender Carlos Salcido .

According to the News of the World, Hodgson has lined up the Mexico World Cup star as an alternative for Paul Konchesky , although he is still hopeful of signing the Fulham left-back.

30-year-old Salcido s a strong, fast and technical all-round defender who goes forward for set pieces and has scored some important goals. He loves to cut in onto his right foot from the left when joining attacks and has a powerful shot.

He is valued at €2.5M-5M.
