Liverpool have stepped up their pursuit of AC Milan striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
Reds boss Roy Hodgson wants the Dutch striker at Anfield but it may only be a loan deal that gets him there.
Huntelaar’s future at the San Siro is uncertain so a shift to England, although only temporary to begin with, may be a good option for his career.
If the loan move happens to go ahead, Liverpool will have an option to buy him permanently down the track when their current financial burden is eased.
