Lecce have made a £1million bid for Liverpool striker Krisztian Nemeth.
The 21-year-old arrived at Anfield in summer 2007 from MTK in his native Hungary but has yet to make a first-team appearance for the club despite being described as 'one of the most exciting prospects on Liverpool's books' by the Reds' official website.
Last year, after failing to force his way into Rafael Benitez's senior squad, Nemeth went to Blackpool on a month-long loan before spending on a season-long stint with AEK Athens where he netted three times in 17 apperances.
Serie A newcomers Lecce are hoping to add Nemeth to their ranks in a bid to boost their chances of avoiding relegation after years of yo-yoing between the Italian top flight and Serie B.
