Real Madrid Cool Gerrard Interest

Steven Gerrard has been priced out of a move from Liverpool, claim Real Madrid.
Real's transfer consultant Ernesto Bronzetti claims club president Florentino Perez will not pay Liverpool's £60million asking price for England's World Cup skipper.
Bronzetti says that Perez feels this is too much for a player of Gerrard's age - despite Jose Mourinho's admiration for the midfielder.
"The president does not agree with Gerrard because he is 30 and Perez doesn't want to know," said Bronzetti. "Plus Liverpool asked for €70million (£60million)."

It remains to be seen if this really is the end of Real's pursuit of Gerrard and the Reds captain is understood to be unsettled because of the club's willingness to cash in on him.
