Turan Agent Lays To Rest Liverpool Move

Galatasaray captain and Turkish international Arda Turan has ruled out a move to the Premier League after being perennially linked with Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and most recently a January move to Liverpool. Speculation began to grow over the future of the Gala skipper following the departure of Frank Rijkaard as manager, however the player's chief representative Ahmet Bulut was keen to squash rumours by confirming that the player is committed to the Turkish giants. Bulut told Sport.co.uk in an exclusive interview: "No, he will not be leaving Galatasaray, he will be staying. He is committed to the club. " He has three years remaining on his contract and it is impossible for him to leave. He is the captain of the team and very happy at the club. There is no doubt he will be staying. " Turan, 23, had been quoted last January as saying it would be a dream to move to Anfield, however it is now very unlikely that the player will leave for the Premier League. Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp had an offer which included Giovanni Dos Santos rejected in the summer, while Chelsea and Arsenal are also rumoured to be monitoring the situation. Turan is an icon in Turkey and one of the most exciting prospects the country has produced, with many Galatasaray fans drawing comparisons with former Gala playmaker and Romanian international Gheorghe Hagi.
