According to a report in Corriere
dello Sport, Italian powerhouse
Juventus are considering making
a move for England international
Glen Johnson, currently under
contract with Premier League
side Liverpool.
The Turin side aren't too pleased
with the performances of Marco
Motta at right back and technical
director Giuseppe Marotta
supposedly sees the 26-year-old
Johnson as a better option in
Juventus' back-line.
The highly rated wing-back
joined his current team from
Portsmouth in the summer of
2009 and has since developed
into a key player at Anfield.
Juventus won't get Johnson on
the cheap though if they decide
to make a move for the defender.
His current contract with
Liverpool runs until the summer
of 2013 and it remains to be
seen whether the Reds are
willing to cash in on Johnson.
Liverpool paid a fee in the region
of €20 million for the England
international last year.
