Roy Hodgson expects Paul
Konchesky to miss Liverpool's
forthcoming games this week
after suffering a hamstring
strain.
The visit of newly-promoted
Blackpool to Anfield next
weekend follows a trip to
Utrecht in the Europa League
but the Reds will be without
their first-choice left-back, 29,
after he suffered the injury
during yesterday's 2-2 draw
with Sunderland.
Although Hodgson could not
determine the extent of the
damage, he does not expect
Konchesky, signed from former
club Fulham last month, to be
sidelined beyond the two
matches, with Daniel Agger
expected to deputise in his
absence.
"He's got a hamstring strain," he
sad.
"I couldn't tell you exactly how
bad it is yet.
"I don't think it's extremely bad
but I certainly think it would
rule him out for Thursday and
next Sunday.
"Hopefully it won't be much
more problematic."
