Werder Bremen starlet Marko Marin is reportedly the subject of interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly leading the chase for the 21-year-old, who scored in Werder's 2-2 draw with Tottenham in their Champions League encounter on Tuesday.
According to the Daily Mail, Spurs are also monitoring the winger along with Manchester United and Chelsea.
Marin has been dubbed the 'German Messi' and has already been capped 11 times by his country as he continues to set the Bundesliga alight.
Should Liverpool or Arsenal step-up their interest in the mercurial talent then it is reported that they would have to part with close to £15 million as Marin moved to Werder for 8.5 million euros just last summer.
The former Borussia Mönchengladbach forward would certainly fit well into the current set-up at the Emirates; possessing the skills and vision to match Arsene Wenger's criteria.
Likewise, he has all the tools to become the next Anfield hero should Roy Hodgson decide to launch a January raid to bring the youngster to Liverpool.
One man who has seen him up close is former Gunners defender Mikaël Silvestre - who is now plying his trade with Werder Bremen - and the 33-year-old is thoroughly impressed with his new teammate.
"He makes sparks fly," he said.
"He's a player that is producing a lot for us at the moment. He launches counter-attacks, he's unpredictable, and that makes him difficult to stop.
"He's still got some progress to make, and he'll become more mature, but I'm happy to be able to play alongside him."
