Editorial: Rekindle Our Faith Roy

Sixteenth in the premier league table, playing in Europa League and now out of Carling cup. Is this Liverpool football club??
I would be lying if i say that i am not hurt by the shock exit of the reds in 3rd round itself of Carling Cup, that too after a 4th division team defeated us at our fort anfield.
I would also be lying if i say that i still trust Roy Hodgson completely in his approach to take liverpool back to where it belongs.

Everyone is left disappointed and Roy has already said SORRY to the fans after the poor performance last night.Its true that the players did not actually played to their potentials and should take the blame as well but its the manager,the gaffer,the boss Roy Hodgson who is more responsible than anyone else for our shocking performance.His defensive mindset,strange strategies and team selections are bound to come under scrutiny.Giving young players more field time will earn him blessings but it has not earned him results.
Torres is still out of form and must have been played last night so that he could regain his lost touch.In cricket, if a player is out of form,then he is sent to play in more and local matches so that he can find his form and confidence against a lowly opposition.Same is what is needed with our Fernando Torres.He needs to play more and more,stop worrying about being injured,get more time on field,score goals,get ur confidence back.

Apart from Torres,other players who should have played are Joe Cole,Miereles and Poulsen.Joe Cole is fit but has not played enough games yet.He was suspended for 3 games,so he must have been given more playing time.Miereles and Poulsen are new and need to find their footing in english football,hence they must have played too.
Come on Roy, i hope you do not wish to have 38 epl games just for our main players to gel with each other.
Do something Roy, we were given tough 5 games in premier league but this should have been a cakewalk and excuses have finished now.I do not wish to hear sorry after sunderland clash too.
Apart from that we all still trust Roy and we trust in liverpool. I do not wish that you get sacked so please make us win.
