Macedonian side FK Rabotnicki have been charged by Uefa after allegations of racist chanting by fans in last week's Europa League qualifying game against Liverpool.
The Reds won the encounter in Skopje 2-0 thanks to goals from David Ngog, one of two black Liverpool players to start the game, along with the impressive 19-year-old winger David Amoo.
Pictures subsequently emerged which appeared to show Rabotnicki fans directing 'monkey' taunts at Liverpool players and Uefa has now charged the club with the improper conduct of supporters.
If found guilty, Rabotnicki could be fined and forced to play future home matches in European competitions in an empty stadium.
A statement from European football's governing body read: "The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body has opened a disciplinary case against FK Rabotnicki for the improper conduct of supporters during their UEFA Europa League third qualifying round first-leg match against Liverpool FC on July 29 in Skopje, FYR Macedonia.
"The case will be dealt with by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body on Thursday, August 19."
The return match of the tie will be played at Anfield on Thursday with a play-off place in the competition up for grabs.
