PSV Deny Toivonen Going To Liverpool

Dutch outfit PSV Eindhoven insist Ola Toivonen will not be sold to Liverpool this summer.

The Reds have reportedly contacted the Eredivisie side over the 24-year-old striker, asking what price they want.

But the Dutch club's sporting director Marcel Brands insists the Swede is very much part of their plans and will not be moving on.

His comments come after Liverpool ambassador Kenny Dalglish was reported to have been watching as PSV beat AZ Alkmaar 3-1 on Sunday, with the Reds also linked with a move for Toivonen's team-mate Carlos Salcido.

Brands told fotbollskanalen.se: "I also read about that (Dalglish's trip) in the newspaper, but I didn't see him at the stadium and it is not important. We don't want to lose Ola during this transfer window.

"They called us last Thursday, in the morning, and asked how much we wanted for Ola Toivanen, but our answer was clear: we will not sell him at this point. We have not heard from them since.

"To have people from other clubs in the stands is quite normal. PSV are a big club and we get visits like that every week."
