Mascherano Likely To Start Tomorrow, Torres Out

Pepe Reina will start in goal, having recovered from a shoulder injury which saw him miss Spain’s friendly against Mexico in midweek.

Javier Mascherano will start at Anfield tomorrow against Arsenal in the opening Premier League clash of the season, we can confirm.
Glen Johnson and Daniel Agger will start as full-backs for Liverpool. Jamie Carragher and Martin Skrtel will start at the back alongside the duo.
Fabio Aurelio and Emiliano Insua are both missing, however they may be on the bench – which has not yet been confirmed.
New-signing Christian Poulsen won’t be in the starting eleven with Javier Mascherano featuring in midfield with Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard.
Dirk Kuyt, who hasn’t played in pre-season, will start on the right wing, next to Joe Cole in the middle and Milan Jovanovic on the left.
David Ngog will start alone up front, with Fernando Torres being the major exclusion having just recovered from a thigh injury.
Torres, however, is set to start of the bench for Liverpool, along-side Christian Poulsen.
