Liverpool are readying a bid for Dynamo Kiev striker Artem Milevskiy, according to reports.
Roy Hodgson is reportedly looking to bolster his strikeforce, despite having Fernando Torres commit to the club and David N’Gog show some promising recent form.
West Ham’s Carlton Cole and PSV Eindhoven’s Swedish frontman Ola Toivonen have both been linked with a move to Anfield but Milevskiy has also caught Hodgson’s eye.
The 25-year-old has been playing for Dynamo, in his homeland, for eight years now and is still highly valued – with a valuation of around £13 million thought to have been slapped on him.
Milevskiy’s agent, Dennis Lachter told Goal.com: “Milevskiy is a player who could play for Liverpool, Manchester United or Chelsea.
“He is a top level player and we have had some serious interest from one major Premier League club,” he said.
However, the Reds will have to wait until they offload midfielder Javier Mascherano, a £25 million target for both Barcelona and Inter Milan, before they can afford the Ukrainian – a fact Lachter acknowledges.
“At the moment English teams are waiting until they have more money before they buy players,” he said.
“But when the market starts to move, managers will have more money to spend and then something might happen.”
