Liverpool Youngster Amoo Delighted With Euro Debut

Liverpool winger David Amoo is delighted to have made his first team debut this summer.

The former Millwall trainee, who signed a new two-year deal in the summer, impressed in the Europa League third qualifier first leg against FK Rabotnicki.

"It was special for me to make my debut in Macedonia last week and I really enjoyed it," Amoo told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"I thought I had a good chance of playing the night before in training when we lined up in the formation we were going to play, and worked on set pieces, so that was great.

"It was a really good experience and my aim now is to push on and work hard in training, then you never know what happens during the season and then I will get a chance.

"It was good for me to play on the right with Martin Kelly as I've played alongside him in the youth team, reserves and now first team. He's great to have in the team and he's a really good player.

"I took a lot of confidence from being included in the squad that went to the training camp in Switzerland. It was great for me to be with a lot of the young boys who have come through the reserve team as well.

"It was great to train and then play alongside players like Lucas and Alberto Aquilani and I really enjoyed the experience.

"The boss and Sammy Lee spoke to me and told me to keep working hard and push on. My next aim is to get towards training at Melwood on a regular basis."
