Liverpool Ready To Offload Aquilani At Half Price

Liverpool are ready to offload Alberto Aquilani after just one season, according to The Mirror and LaRoma24.it.

The Italian arrived at Anfieldfrom Roma for a hefty fee of €20 million and was expected to fill in the gap left by Xabi Alonso.

But he spent the first half of the season struggling with injury, although he did showed flashes of brilliance du...ring the latter stages of the campaign.

Now it is believed the Reds are willing to part ways with the 26-year-old for half the price they paid for him in order to raise funds for Juventus midfielder Christian Poulsen.

Meanwhile, want-away midfielder Javier Mascherano could be heading to Barcelona instead of Inter Milan after the Italian giants' decision not to sign him alerted the Catalan club.
