Aurelio Looking To Gun Down The Gunners

Fabio Aurelio believes Sunday's mouthwatering Barclays Premier League clash with Arsenal will provide the 'new Liverpool' with the perfect opportunity to show what they can do.
The full-back accepts that curtain-raisers don't come much tougher than facing the Gunners but he remains confident the Reds can go on and get a positive result in Roy Hodgson's first league match in charge.
"It's a great game to begin with," Aurelio told Liverpoolfc.tv. "We have had some very interesting games against Arsenal in the past and everyone is really looking forward to it.
"We have a new manager and a new way of working so we will see how things go.
"It's a new season for Liverpool. We didn't finish last year so well, so we are all excited about getting the club off to a good start.
"We are quite confident we can do that. It's a very important match because it is against a top side and it would be good to win against such a big rival. If we do, it will be great but we know it is just three points for a win and won't get carried away."
The Reds could field several new recruits against Arsene Wenger's men with Joe Cole, Milan Jovanovic and Danny Wilson all vying for a starting place.
Aurelio admits he has already been impressed by what he has seen of the trio in training and is convinced they can each play an important role for the club this season.
"Joe Cole has arrived from Chelsea and he is quality - no one doubts that," said Aurelio.
"You can see it in training already and I think he can be very positive for us. He is very good between the lines and that could mean we could move Stevie back a little bit. I think he will make us much stronger in the attacking third.
"I also think Wilson will be a great defender. He will learn a lot from the defenders we already have.
"As for Jovanovic, all the signs suggest he will do really well for us. He played well in the Europa League and can play on the left and right as well as up front.
"All the players that have been signed will improve the squad and I think the rest of the lads feel that too."
