Liverpool Face Fight For Kiessling

AC Milan and Liverpool are set to fight it out for Bayer Leverkusen striker Stefan Kiessling in January. Ali Bulut, the 26-year-old's agent, has revealed in a German newspaper that the European giants have made enquiries in recent weeks along with fellow Bundesliga rivals Schalke 04 and Russian Premier League outfit Rubin Kazan. Kiessling, a Germany international, joined Leverkusen in 2006 after a relatively uneventful five-year spell with Nuremberg and has netted 51 goals in 134 appearances at the BayArena. Bulut said: "Milan, Liverpool, Schalke 04 and Rubin Kazan have asked for the player in the recent weeks. "There are no formal offers at the moment. Depending on what Bayer say he could be sold in January."
