Ex-Red Benayoun Faces 6 Months Out After Fresh Injury
Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun fears he could be out six months with an achilles injury. Benayoun was already carrying a calf injury when an old problem flared up. He told The Sun: "I pray I will be out for three months but am prepared to be out for six. A specialist says I need surgery." The ex-Liverpool winger first hurt his Achilles in the summer and then hobbled out of the Blues' Carling Cup defeat to Newcastle on September 22 with a calf injury. He has been advised to head to America for treatment.
