Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has made an enquiry regarding signing Liverpool winger Ryan Babel on loan after failing to land a forward in the last 48 hours. West Ham and Sunderland have been previously linked with the Dutch international.
According to sources Redknapp has missed out on deals for Luis Fabiano, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Emmanuel Adebayor and Guiseppe Rossi. The Spurs manager has now set his sights on signing out-of-favour reds winger Babel on a season-long loan deal.
Reports confirm that Tottenham Hotpsur have made an enquiry however Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is only interested in the winger leaving on a permanent basis, with the reds eager to recoup as much of the £11.5 million transfer fee they paid Ajax three years ago.Babel has interested a number of Premier League clubs during the summer window including Steve Bruce’s Sunderland and Avram Grant’s West Ham. However at this point in time only Redknapp has made an official enquiry regarding the Dutch international forward.
