Giuseppe Rossi Link With Liverpool Dies Down

Giuseppe Rossi's has been the subject of rumours linking him with a return to England, and a move to Liverpool, more than once in the past however this isn't going to happen. Arsenal, Spurs and Man City are also believed to be interested along with Italian sides Juventus, Roma, Napoli and Fiorentina.

In spite of the links to all these clubs the Villarreal star looks unlikely to move on from the La Liga side, as his agent Federico Pastorello explained to Sky Italia:

'Giuseppe Rossi will probably stay at Villarreal.

'He has another three years left on his deal, even if important proposals don't arrive.'

The 23 year old has become a star name in Spain and this has seen the Italian internationals stock rise however a return to England, or back to his homeland of Italy, isn't on the cards for the former ManU striker just yet.

However Christian Poulsen's move to Anfield is expected to be completed this week, as his agent Jorn Bonnesen explained to Ekstra Bladet:

'It won't take more than a week before this is sorted out.

'It might be already in the beginning of next week. Christian Poulsen is Roy's man.

'He will be playing as defensive midfielder at Liverpool. I returned home with a good and positive impression.'

The price has to be right for the 30 year old Danish international, which I'd expect it will be and would be something around the £4m mark. This would make him a good addition to the squad by Roy Hodgson who looks like he's adding a bit of depth to the squad.
