Editorial: Liverpool's Season Preview

So the barclays premier league starts today. After a long wait for us fans it finally will kickoff with Spurs playing against a rich manchester city squad. But as a red, there's one and only thing that i'm waiting for. That is  Liverpool vs Arsenal. The Clash Of the titans it may be touted as considering the stature of the two teams.

Liverpool look forward to a new era this time without Rafa Benitez. Roy Hodgson who took charge of the mentally depleted club has infact changed the atmosphere at the club and is ever promisingly working to restore the aura the great club seemed to be losing all these years. Experts might differ whether Roy Hodgson is really the man who can emulate the success of great managers like Bill Shankly,Bob Paisley Or Kenny Dalglish but the fans are all together now supporting Hodgson in all ways.

Reds have some new signings and believe me they all have been pretty decent signings.I myself have looked around all english clubs and i can easily say that liverpool have been the most promising club this summer in terms of transfer market dealings.Players like Joe Cole,Milan Jovanovic and Christian Poulsen have vast experiences while young signing Danny Wilson looks to extend the promise he showed in his debut season at Rangers.
But Roy's biggest success right now will surely be the fact that he managed to keep both stars Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres at liverpool. A lot was being said of the commitment of liverpool players to the club over the years. So may i bring to your notice that players or should i say legends like Jamie Carragher,Steven Gerrard and Ferando Torres are still here, deeply committed to the club.Young stars learn from their seniors and it is evident from the fact that Dani Pacheco and David Ngog both are staying willingly at the club.

On the field liverpool have looked promising under Hodgson and off the field talks of the much awaited sale of the club have delighted the fans all around the world.Absolutely everyone wants to free the club from the clutches of ever greedy Gillette and Hicks who've sucked the money from the club and have left a club riddled with debt.

So all in all we all have forgotten the trauma of last season, in a positive way and look forward to the new Roy Hodgson Era of liverpool football club. Liverpool ofcourse kickoff tomorrow at anfield itself against Arsene Wenger's gunners and it'll be one of those classic games i can bet that.

I wish, like a normal loving liverpool fan that we beat the gunners and have a good start to the season.I wish Torres plays. And i wish that club goes into good hands of generous people.

With this i wrap up the season preview of liverpool. YNWA
