Aislan Linked With Free Transfer To Liverpool

Liverpool are being linked with a free transfer move for Brazilian defender Aislan.
The former Sao Paulo centre back has been released by the club he joined as a junior, and Roy Hodgson has reportedly reignited Liverpool interest in the player.
A £10 million price tag was thought to be the major stumbling block when the Reds showed interest two years ago under Rafael Benitez, but the towering youngsters availability on a free has breathed fresh life into a potential move.
Sport.co.uk report that Aislan is looking to find a new club in Europe after rejecting a potential deal with the Tricolor Paulista, with the Merseyside outfit being 'confirmed admirers' of the player.
Aislan won a Brazilian Série A title in 2008 during his first season as a senior player at the Morumbi Stadium, and was tipped for a bright future after graduating from the club's acclaimed youth setup.
Progress appears to have stalled though, with no international recognition at the lower levels and this subsequent release.
However, Hodgson is thought to be keen to add numbers to his back-line at Anfield and could take the opportunity to make a free move in the hope that Aislan can revive his career in the Premier League
