Agent Confirms Barcelona's Inability To Buy Mascherano

Italian super agent Enzo Bronzetti has cast doubt on Barcelona's pursuit of Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano.

Mascherano's representatives have been in the Catalan press talking up the prospect of a move to the Nou Camp.

But Bronzetti, who has close ties to Barca, said: "I've heard about the Mascherano rumours, but Barcelona do not have the financial means to make it happen.

"For now, the situation is at a stalemate."
