Torres To Reveal Plans In A Fortnight

WORLD CUP winner Andres Iniesta says Fernando Torres will make his mind up about his Liverpool future in the next fortnight.
Torres will have a scan in the next 48 hours to determine the extent of the groin injury he suffered in the final. He expects to be out for up to two months.
Chelsea are unlikely to abandon the chase for him, despite seeing his fragile fitness result in him tearing his left adductor with seconds of the final remaining.
But only hours after scoring the goal that claimed Spain’s maiden world title, Iniesta revealed that new Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson will not have to wait too long for an answer from Torres.
“Fernando was fully focused on Spain and we didn’t even talk about his future until last night,” said Iniesta.
“He is going to take a break with his wife and daughter [after attending his sister’s wedding this week], speak to Liverpool and take things from there.
“Any club that has him is lucky to have him. David Villa says Torres is the most complete striker in the world and his future will be decided in the next two weeks.”
Iniesta admitted the reality of winning the World Cup ha s not yet sunk in. “I still can’t quite believe it,” he said . “As a player you talk about and think about scoring the winner in a World Cup final, but you never truly believe you are going to do it.
“The hysteria in Spain after Euro 2008 was crazy enough. I am struggling to come to terms with the fact my dream has become a reality.”
Iniesta said the 1-0 win over Holland meant the tournament’s best side had triumphed.
“We started slowly but we grew in confidence and got better as the tournament went on,” he said. “We dominated the games against both Germany and Holland and were more than worthy of our win.
