Torres Tells Chelsea And liverpool To Wait On His Future

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has vowed to sort out his future but not until after the World Cup.

Roy Hodgson is eager to meet the talismanic Spain international upon his return from South Africa amidst reports that Chelsea are planning to snap him up with owner Roman Abramovich set to attend tonight's semi-final clash with Germany in Durban.

Torres is also highly sought after by Manchester City but a move to the Premier League champions is more likely should he wish to leave Anfield.

The 26-year-old, however, is refusing to be drawn on where his future lies beyond this summer until he has returned from holiday after the tournament.

He said: "I want to finish the World Cup and go on holiday as I haven't had one for three years, rest and then there will be time to talk about all of that.

"The situation isn't going to change whether we talk soon or later. Honestly, teams won't be able to do anything until the World Cup has finished.

"The players here prefer to wait - there is time. The club will explain the real situation to me of how things are at present and in the future - and I will also talk to the new coach."
