Roy Wants Sammy Lee To Stay

Roy Hodgson today confirmed he wants Sammy Lee to remain as part of his Anfield backroom team

The Liverpool boss, who is preparing his side for their first pre-season run-out against Al-Hilal this evening, hasn't yet finalised his coaching staff for the forthcoming campaign - but he insists the former Reds' midfielder will have a role to play.
"Sammy will stay here for the foreseeable future, absolutely - as long as he wants to be here," said the Liverpool manager.
"I have no intention of letting him go and if he wants to stay with us he is more than welcome.
"I haven't made decisions on any [other positions] yet."
