Jovanovic Didn't Mind Swapping Shirt Number With Cole

MILAN JOVANOVIC does not mind trading places with Joe Cole – and believes his family can help him become a success at Liverpool.
Jovanovic was originally handed the number 10 jersey after signing on a free transfer from Standard Liege, only to switch numbers when Cole requested the shirt following his arrival last week.
The 28-year-old, who made his first appearance for his new club in Saturday's 1-0 friendly defeat at Kaiserslautern, has now taken on the number 14 jersey.
But Jovanovic has no issue with the change and believes it could act as a lucky omen for his time at Anfield.
“Switching shirts didn't bother me,” he said. “Number 14 is my favourite and it is the number I wear for the national team.
“I feel good that I have got the same number here and I hope it will be lucky for me. I hope it will bring me much success. When the switch came I was really happy.”
Jovanovic was part of a youthful training camp that returned to Merseyside on Saturday evening after being put through their paces at the picturesque retreat in the Swiss town of Bad Ragaz.
