Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is set make another £8million bid for Liverpool winger Ryan Babel.
The Blues boss is a long-term admirer of the Dutch international and tried to sign the player in January only to be priced out of a move by then Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez.
However, with Benitez now at Inter Milan it appears new Reds boss Roy Hodgson is willing to offload 23-year-old in order to raise funds for his own signings.
Speaking of any potential new signings McLeish said: "We want to bring in another couple of bodies to the squad at least. We are trying to add more players."
