Barcelona have dropped out of the running for Liverpool striker Fernando Torres.
Sport says talk of Liverpool rating Torres at £70 million has scared off the Liga champs, who are struggling to meet Arsenal's demands of £40 million for Cesc Fabregas.
With Barca needing to borrow £120 million to pay player wages, transfer funds are tight and a move for Torres is now ruled out.
What it also means is that barcelona might not be able to even bid for Javier Mascherano and this might just be a blessing in disguise for Inter Milan who also want the Argentina captain in their engine room.
